On April 7, 2016, "Shenyang Robot Industry Alliance" (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") was established in Shenyang under the leadership of Shenyang Xinsong Robot Automation Co., Ltd., in conjunction with 38 enterprises, universities, research institutes and financial institutions, including Northeast University, Shenyang Automation Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Microcyber Corporation. Microcyber has become a member of the Robot Industry Alliance.

Shenyang has the advantages of large industrial scale, rapid growth, high research and development level, complete product categories, and strong talent support to develop the robot industry. In recent years, the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and the Shenyang Municipal Government have successively issued various support policies to support and promote the development of Shenyang's robot and intelligent equipment industry, improve the competitiveness of enterprises related to the robot and intelligent equipment industry chain, strengthen cooperation and communication among enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes, and build a coordinated industrial cluster and wider market applications.

Pan Liguo, mayor of Shenyang, said at the inauguration ceremony of the alliance that the official establishment of the five-in-one robotics industry alliance of "government, enterprises, schools, research institutes and finance" is another initiative of Shenyang to implement the spirit of the document "Opinions of the State Council of the CPC Central Committee on the Comprehensive Revitalization of the Northeast Region and Other Old Industrial Bases" and the national system to promote comprehensive innovation reform experiments and build a national independent innovation demonstration zone, which will certainly play a great role in the rapid development of Shenyang's robotics industry, industrial restructuring and revitalization of the old industrial base. He hopes that Shenyang's robotics industry will grow bigger and stronger, forming a complete industrial group of robotics R&D, technology research, parts and components supporting supply, robotics engineering applications, etc., and promoting the improvement of Shenyang's overall robotics technology level.

Lian Maojun, secretary general of Shenyang Municipal Government, explained the policies related to the development of robotics industry in Shenyang. Qu Daokui, president of Shenyang Xinsong Robotics Automation Co., Ltd, Liu Lianqing, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wang Tianran, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a keynote report on building Shenyang into a world-class robotics industry base, innovative achievements in robotics R&D and robotics development trends.
