Fieldbus was developed and formed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It is used in the field of process automation, manufacturing automation, building automation and other field.Fieldbus has attracted worldwide attention and become the focus of the development of automation technology, and it will lead to profound changes in the structure and equipment of automation systems. Many powerful and influential companies in the world have successively developed fieldbus technology and products to varying degrees.
Foundation Fieldbus (Foundation Fieldbus referred to as FF)
This is the ISP agreement formulated by 80 companies such as Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens, and Invensys led by Fisher-Rousemount of the United States, and the WorldFIP agreement formulated by more than 150 companies in Europe and other places led by Honeywell in September 1994. This bus has been widely used in the field of process automation and has a good development prospect.
CAN(Controller Area Network )
It was first introduced by the German company BOSCH, which is used for the data communication between the internal measurement and execution parts of the automobile. Its bus specification has been formulated as an international standard by ISO International Standards Organization, supported by Intel, Philips, Siemens, NEC and other companies, and has been widely used in the field of discrete control. A number of companies have developed and produced communication chips in accordance with CAN protocol.
Device Net
Device Net is a low-cost communication connection and a simple network solution with open network standards. The organizational structure of the Device Net bus is Open Device Net Vendor Association (referred to as "ODVA").
PROFIBUS
PROFIBUS is the fieldbus standard of German standard (DIN19245) and European standard (EN50170). It is composed of PROFIBUS--DP, PROFIBUS-FMS and PROFIBUS-PA series. DP is used for high-speed data transmission between distributed peripherals and is suitable for the field of processing automation. FMS is suitable for textile, building automation, programmable controller, low voltage switch and so on. PA is the bus type used for process automation and conforms to the IEC1158-2 standard.
HART
HART is the abbreviation of Highway AddressableRemote Transducer. It was first developed by Rosemout and supported by more than 80 famous instrument companies. HART Communication Foundation was established in 1993. HART is a transitional product of industrial process control during the transition from analog system to digital system, so it has strong market competitiveness in the current transition period and has been well developed.
CC-Link
CC-Link is the abbreviation of Control&Communication Link (Control and Communication Link system). It was launched by a number of companies led by Mitsubishi Electric in November 1996. It is growing rapidly and occupies a large share in Asia. In July 2005, CC-Link was approved by China National Standards Committee as the guiding technical document of Chinese national standards.
World FIP
After the merger of the North American part of World FIP and ISP into FF, the European part of World FIP remains independent and is headquartered in France. It occupies an important position in the European market, especially in France with a share of about 60%.
INTERBUS
INTERBUS is an early fieldbus introduced by Phoenix Company in Germany, and it became the international standard IEC61158 in February 2000.
INTERBUS is widely used in automobile, tobacco, warehousing, papermaking, packaging, food and other industries, and has become the international fieldbus leader.
In addition, the more influential fieldbus is the P-Net proposed by the Danish company Process-Data Amax S, which is mainly used in agriculture, forestry, water conservancy, food and other industries; SwiftNet fieldbus is mainly used in aerospace and other fields.
